A little after the fact on this one, I realize, but The Organ-Grinder #1 (containing episodes one and two from the first two issues of Undertow) is available for FREE DOWNLOAD in the store here on the website.

This 32-page issue features a wraparound cover by Gibson Quarter and Shane Heron, colored by Ghosthill Greg, and contains 25 pages of story, along with a bunch of pin-ups from our friends and past Undertow contributors. You’ll also find a striking piece from Guillermo Ortego in this book, which I’m currently using as the background for the website. No reason not to take a look.

It was a bit rushed getting the book to the printer in time given that Free Comic Book Day was about a month after Emerald City Comicon (right around the same time I should have been getting the files off to our overly-accommodating printer Comicbookprinting.com), and also when I would be heading back to Alaska for my paying job. Somehow, though, it all worked out and the books made it where they needed to be in time for the big day.

Printed copies of the book were only available at a select few comic shops in Seattle, Amarillo, and Toronto–altogether we cave away 300 books. I plan on doing the same thing next year, probably with The Forgetting #1, and hopefully with a larger print run.
